It's been 5 mths since I've last blogged.. Well, June's gonna be a hectic mth.. Do sales, Product launch, 2 tests (on Fair Dealing Act & Technical Knowledge respectively), mentor to a friend who's joining my agency, liaising wif friends and booking genting trip (which will be in July).. Shall ask PW to help wif the liaising part.. Cos too much things on the brain..

Anyway, for my career, there's 2 routes which I could take.. All the way to premier financial consultant or up the management ladder.. For the former, all I've to do is manage my clients' portfolio and hit the production requirement.. For the latter, I've to recruit min. 4 agents & hit the production targets.. The earliest I could be manager is in 3yrs' time.. The plus point is that I'll be able to gt a cut from my agents' commission.. Bt most (if not all) the existing managers would've told u "the hardest point is with the recruitment"..

Maybe it's God's Will that by chance I'll be having 2 agents joined my agency, both of whom r my frenz.. As i've told my colleague, if it's God's Will that this opportunity is given to me & yet I didn't do my best to achieve being a manager, probably I'll piss God off & I wouldn't haf the chance again..

All said & done, I'll be super busy for the coming mths.. Bt I can still make time for gathering la.. So if u wanna ask me out, it's still possible de.. (*,*)

Went to JB today with 2 friends today. Here's a short write-up of wad i did:

At Holiday's Inn:
1. Spent RM199 at Watsons.. (helped PW to buy heel and sole shields)
2. Bought tidbits for my family members (cos i dun haf the habit of snacking) for RM15.90
3. Coloured my hair for RM150 (wif treatment) ~~ Love my hair colour ~~
4. Ate curly fries (my fav) and ribena (too sweet) and tea eggs (more like lor neng.. sianz..)

At Giant Leisure Mall:
1. Watched Sherlock Holmes
2. Walked ard, tok crap.. Haha.. Apparently, the stuffs dere are not any.. Bought dedorant..

For dinner:
Ate Teochew porridge at a chinese restaurant. Like zi char style dishes, 1 chicken, 2 vegetable, 1 yu tiao, and hotplate toufu. Total cost ard RM53 (v.cheap).. My treat cos my fren drove in.. (*,*)

Just for Laugh:
Country M's custom officer said that they've ran out of white cards, so no needa fill up if we dun haf the card.. Cartoon sia.. Haha..

Went to Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 10km Women Category on 6th Dec 2009.. Poor Mau got spotted by the security guard along the starting line (cos he didn't register).. Ended up having breakfast and walk ard the area while waiting for us to complete the race.. We reached the starting line at 8+ and the run started at 8.30am sharp.. We did the SCSM run dance and took the photo (below) while waiting to start running..

Anyway, we're not the only 1s taking photos ok!! We only started doing so when we saw other ladies taking photos hor!! Haha.. N hor, gt lotsa ah ma "running" too.. Haha..

Here's when we reached the first km..

And finally, we saw the singapore flyer (after passing the marina barrage..) We left a place in the pic for Mau.. (Mau: photoshop ya face into the photo yaself hor.. haha..)

Finally, we reached the 5km mark!!

We finished the race in 2hr09mins.. In the background in the baggage deposit point..

OK, if you're wondering y i'm wearing a red headband, it's for perspiration absorption.. It's the most amazing sports equipment i've seen so far.. I've no need to wipe away my perspiration at all.. Damn gd..

Alright, since poor mau waited for us, we allowed him to take photo wif us.. Haha..

We went for lunch at Marina Square (Xin Wang) before gg hm.. I brought hm wif me a few blisters and aching thighs as souvenirs.. Haha..

It's been 1 mth since i last blogged.. Had been super busy.. Mum went for hands surgery 2 wks ago and i had to stay at hm to take care of her.. Only gg for appt at night/weekends when my sis is at hm.. So now, I'm known as maria, nurse, cook, etc.. Haha.. My usual day schedule is as such:

1. Hang out laundry to dry

2. Preparing offerings to deities

3. Make breakfast for mum, sis n myself

4. Water the plants

5. Wash clothes.. (hand wash daily + machine wash every 2 days)

6. Marketing

7. Prepare for lunch

8. Cook lunch

9. Wash dishes

10. Shower my mum in the afternoon

11. Prepare for dinner

12. Cook dinner

13. Wash dishes

14. Keep the clothes

and the list goes on....

I tink i'm falling sick AGAIN! Mouth ulcer, sore throat.. All these sucks!! :(

Went to my cousin's place today to do an investment portfolio update and went to Popeyes (at Changi Airport) wif my 2 cousins & niece.. CHLOE IS SOOOO CUTE!!

Woke up at 8am this morning to get ready to go MFSS for Project Linking MINDS closure mtg.. Had my favourite Char Kway Teow for lunch but forgot to tell the auntie to remove the cockles.. I requested for extra ingredients but 50 cents goes to the extra cockles.. (At least that's wad I've told Putri.. Anyway, I gave Putri the extra cockles.. Haha..)

Being late, I cab my way to Bouna Vista CC to support my fellow IFPAS ToastMasters at Humour Speech Competition for Area U1 & U3.. Can tell that we have the strongest fan club around.. Haha.. Anyway, it was an eye-opener for me and the best part was ..... my fellow ToastMasters, Nigel & Kenneth, won the Area U1 Speech Championship & Evaluation Championship respectively!! Bravo guys!! I'll be dere at Whampoa CC on 24th oct to support u guys!! (if anyone reading this blog is interested in having a gd laugh on the 24th, gif me a call ya..)

Delivered my maiden speech at IFPAS ToastMasters mtg last nite.. My evaluator told me that my speech is fit for a more advanced level, and it was difficult for him to evaluate based on the criteria set for an ice-breaker.. Haha.. Instead of introducing myself to the club in a light-hearted way, I'd chosen a philosophical approach, talking about my ability to make decisions.. Haha.. My evaluator and even my mentor were stunned.. Haha..

Woke up at 6am this morning for Final Sprint (Pru's annual event) & took a cab just b4 7am (to avoid surcharge & ERP, which could amount to $10) to Suntec Convention Hall.. And for the early birds (like yours truly), Pru rewarded us with breakfast.. For lunch, my colleagues & I got a treat (buffet) from our manager at ground floor, Suntec Convention Centre.. Went for a 4-hr long appt with a prospect.. Haha..

September 2009 - We celebrated my cousin, Jolyn's 21st b'day at Aloha Changi Chalet.. The biggest horror is that the chalet we've gotten is infested with cockroaches.. Anyway, i've helped to do the balloon doorway, which u'll see below..

I've just joined IFPAS ToastMasters Club in August.. N this is my 2nd mtg with them.. It's a homourous speech competition.. In order to share the joy (of point & laugh), I invited PW along..
