Yoz.. Dear frenz, dun gt bored by my Dreams 5 entries.. Cos it's u ppl who asked me to blog de.. Hehe.. So nw, as my boss's out of office (& me naturally slacking :p), I shall blog a super long blog on Dreams 5.. This is wad i blogged on Dreams 5 blog (I'm nt cheating am i??)..
Hi dere! It's been ages since I last blog.. DREAMS 5.. Dere's so much to say yet so little.. As I blog, the song on this blog kept ringing thru my mind.. "As we go on. We remember. All the times we, Had together. And as our lives change, Come whatever. We will still be, Friends Forever." (go to my blog if u wan the full lyrics..) So many promises we've made to each other; patrol members to leaders, member to member, leaders to members, leader to leader.. So many exchanges in thoughts & knowledge.. Hw could I ever forget all the kindness tat I've been showered wif thru/out this trip?! Alan & Lester always asking me to drink more water in case I fell ill; Mr Gana's jokes; Kin Peng's advice every now & den; Knowledge exchange wif Lionel & Frederick (had learnt more types of leadership thru this 9 days journey.. All the crap wif Frederick & became a portable radio to keep myself awake.. Sry Frederick.. :p); Saw the improvement in the participants (esp my patrol Morrigan.. The tears, heartache, disppointment we've shed & experienced together only made the final success sweeter & our bonds tighter.. I've seen my kids (LianYi, Dennis, Bryan & MingXuan) grow wif every passing seconds, to be a better person wif more self discipline.. The bond we've forged within the patrol is strong wif every frustration & forgiveness.. I wouldn't speak for other participants bt for my kids their 'software' had been upgraded over the past months..) What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all leaders for their tolerance & forgiveness towards me thru/out this journey.. I'll improve on my weakness.. Being a guide-trained person, I've been trained to look into all the nitty gritty issues.. However, I know being a leader, I've to look at the bigger picture (which means no time & energy to look into the minor details le..) This is something I've to work on.. More respect for my fellow colleagues (in terms of words).. Less crap, more firm.. All in all, I've felt myself grown over the past mths, wkin wif the leaders & participants..
Well, on the lighter note, I'm looking forward to this Fri's MFGG campfire, Sat's GGS Carnival @ Scape Park (dreamers, pls let me noe via hp if u wanna go too.. it's open to public..) & of course, Sun's gathering @ Dennis Hse!! Yeah!! Cya guys soon..

Last nite had a nightmare (i rarely dream de)... i dreamt that Ham met wif an accident & died.. Den his parents allowed us to choose one of his shirt as momento.. Hmm.. Weird thing.. Well, in the dream, he has 2 closet & I raided both only to find his green stripe polo tee missing.. Arghh.. Den come the most scary part.. I cried my hearts out cos most times I went out wif him, he always wear tat shirt & it's missing.. I cried cos of tat loss (shirt & a fren).. it's so real tat I couldn't stop crying even when I was awake..
Well, who noes, maybe the tears aren't totally for him afterall.. Hmm..
Time nw's 3pm.. Less than 15hrs to Dreams 5!! Arhhhh... ****Stress**** Dun ask me y horz.. Ehh.. Juz nw Adel asked me whether nd S'pore flag on GG uniform den I tot no nd (cos my frenz went overseas GG events also dun rmb they gt put) so I told her no nd.. After putting down the phone, I decided to double confirm wif GG HQ staffs.. Turned out Betty, GG Shop i/c said nd to put on uniform bt GG shop nv sell so have to buy from Scout shop.. Arhhh... Den YiKai & Siong Hui both nv bring hp when they went Scout HQ to buy the flag so I called up the Scouts shop (Bryan gave me their no) & told the shop assistant tat 2 boys gg down to buy flag, tell them to buy extra 4 more.. Hehe.. I very smart rite?? Haha.. Ltr gotta meet Putri to gt the flag from her.. Sianz.. Last min stuffs again.. Arhh.. Bt den again, better late than nv.. First time I'm putting S'pore flag on my YA uniform.. **winkz**

It's only one more day away from DREAMS le.. Hmm.. It's like I've gt last min shopping almost everyday this wk.. Haiz.. Well, @ least today I can go hm straight from wk.. Cos juz nw lunch in & went to the salon @ my office building to trim my hair.. Really like my new hairstyle (though nt cheap la.. $17 for thinning & layering).. Hmm.. Den I heng heng saw a shop selling socks @ 1 corner.. Really heng sia.. If nt haf to go Bishan buy socks le.. Haha.. Ehh.. Juz nw slacking @ wk (my boss go out for appt @ 230pm) & read my sis de blog.. Wa.. So long de wishlist.. Tink will haf to go shopping for her present when I come back le.. Haha.. Somemore by den, she'll noe which one nobody gif her den can submit a request for the stuffs.. See I so smart (*giving myself a pad on the shoulder for my intelligence* :p) Haha.. Let me tink of the budget 1st.. Haha..
Well, went to army market wif Putri & YiKai (meow meow) yest after my wk.. Bought another slpin bag much lighter (cos the one I haf is for cold climate de, so thicker & heavier), caribena (dunno hw to spell) & a cap for my Nalgene bottle (dunno hw to explain).. I helped myself & Putri bargain for cheaper price.. Haha.. So fun.. Den bought dinner from AMK hub after passing meow meow the $ for the Dreams handouts..
Hmm.. I'm gonna do some changes to my hair after I'm back from Dreams.. It'll a secret til I'm done.. U ppl better dun drop ya specs when u c me after the changes!! Haha.. Ham already declared he'll be scared to death le.. Pls be warned that I'll nt be held liable for any disability or death horz.. Haha..

Nw in office nt much to do so decided to blog a SUPER LONG BLOG!! Haha..
GRADUATION CEREMONYMy poly graduation ceremony was on 23 May 2007, SP Convention Centre, 9.30am.. Well, Ber & I started the day wif being super late for the ceremony.. By right, we should be seated by 8.30am, ceremony commence on 9.30am.. However, we were caught in a very bad jam.. So heng we both gt stuck on the same road somemore.. We took taxi wif our family.. Accidents happened on Adams Road tat morning, 2 lanes kena blocked.. Den Lornie rd jam, leading to thomson rd jam, den go all the way back to amk (jus before Pierce Sec).. We took the taxi @ 8.10am & guess wad, we reached @ 9.40am.. Very bad jam rite?? Taxi fare $28+ i tink.. Well, my advice for my juniors would be to take bus or mrt during peak hours.. Well, you jing wu xian.. We arrived & gt into the convention hall after the speech.. My frenz called it a blessing in disguise cos no needa listen to Principal 7 Guest-of-Honour's speech.. Haha.. I would say SP's graduation gown quite beautiful.. In terms of colour combi & design.. Well, for the benefit of ppl who haven attend a graduation like this b4, we were given seat number according to our course and name in alphabetical order, meaning we wouldn't be seated beside our frenz.. The cert presentation very fast.. When it's almost our turn the marshal got us to line up to gt onto the stage.. When it's our turn next to gt the scroll, the SP ambassador ppl collect & scan the barcode on our admission ticket and the computerised pronounciation of our names were made as we walked forward to collect our scroll (scroll is empty anyway).. Den we walked out & collect the actual academic transcript and cert.. I've made orders for the photos taken when i was collecting the scroll.. After tat jus go back into the hall, watched the others collect their scroll, listen to graduation speech by a fellow graduand, sang SP song (which I've nv heard b4) and finally refreshment.. During the refreshment period, I haven been eating bt was walking around to take photos wif frenz & teachers.. Oh.. N i forgot to mention I nv eat breakfast tat morning.. Well, photos have been uploaded onto my Friendster blog.. After tat, my family & I went Serangoon Broadway to take a family photo.. haha.. So fake sia.. Haha..
GRADUATION - NIGHT OUTWe (Ham, Zhenghong & i) went hm for a nap den met up wif Andrew for dinner @ citylink Sakae Sushi cos Ham wanna eat.. haha.. Clever me told them actually alacarte more worth cos we can't possibly finish 30+ non-coloured plates of sushi.. Haha.. Den Desmond late to meet us.. This guy pro sia.. He went NAFA test in the morning til missed the ceremony den go make-up ceremony @ 2pm wif the chemical engineering ppl.. Sianz.. So, he was forgiven la.. We paid using Ham UOB debit card & gt a 10% off.. Overall we paid the buffet amt after discount.. Haha.. Den we go to Clarke Quay meet Bernard, Ben & Mr Ho.. Went to Forbidden for a drink.. The drink really not up to our expectations.. Some photos already posted on Friendster.. Den we head hm @ ard 11pm cos next day still have to wk..
DREAMS 5 - PARENTS' DIALOGUE SESSIONThe leaders of the expedition (including myself) had a dialogue session wif the participants' parents.. I was the overall in charge for this session.. It started wif Lester giving a presentation of the project to the parents, stressing on the safety precautions tat we've done & tat the support from the parents was very important.. It lasted for a ard 45 minutes.. Den came the Q & A session, where the leaders answered without a sweat.. Tat's the result of well-preparedness.. Haha.. Luckily nv splunge on the refreshment.. Cos most of the refreshment being kapok by the participants.. haha.. Turned out nv meet Ham cos we busy packing the PCs for shipment over to PBP..
DREAMS 5 - PREPARATION CAMPThe camp was on 2 & 3 June 2007.. I took a cab down to MFSS & reached @ 8.05am.. Slightly late.. The outline for the camp was as follows:-
- cooking
- games (wif value) @ Sentosa (leaders won the power ball game)
- first aid lesson
- performance practice
- PT (played eagle catch little chicks.. Lester so childish..)
- theory on cement mixing
- participants slept @ 1am, leaders 2+am
The camp was taxing as usual (I had been to Venture Training Camp by Shadow Scouts when I was in my sec3 yr, nw this batch of scout leaders/rovers were transfered from Shadow to MF Scout Group) bt very fun.. Project director, Lester, is a very encouraging (strict @ times) & inspirational leader.. Learnt alot from him.. Alan, always pop in to gif us advices in between.. Lionel & Frederick are very capable leaders too.. I almost dropped my spec when Fred was conducting the debrief on Day 1.. Very professional.. Lionel, on the other hand, is a more fierce (no nonsense) leader.. Very gd @ sports.. Can run very fast.. Haha.. I tink I freak Fred out when I was bubbling & laughing non-stop @ 2am in the morning while cutting the ppr wif him.. Too tired, can't be helped.. We agreed that being a camp facilitator is more tiring than being participants.. The participants are quite 'cute' in the sense that sometimes things tat they say/do really made us dunno wanna laugh or wanna cry.. Dovin so 'gu niang'.. Chin How so easily irritated, loud-spoken, presentation skills improved.. Wilfred, I made him picked up the rice grain from the sink when he said he nv do it @ hm.. Lianyi, very familar wif the Home Ed rm.. Putri, always smiling.. Adel, so confident.. Dennis, impressed wif his guitar skills.. YiKai, so lame @ times.. Siong Hui, so quiet.. Ying Jie, sometimes gif weird ideas.. Bryan, the Gatsby boy (irritates us wif tat song).. Ming Xuan, always irritates Chin How..
