Nw in office nt much to do so decided to blog a SUPER LONG BLOG!! Haha..
GRADUATION CEREMONYMy poly graduation ceremony was on 23 May 2007, SP Convention Centre, 9.30am.. Well, Ber & I started the day wif being super late for the ceremony.. By right, we should be seated by 8.30am, ceremony commence on 9.30am.. However, we were caught in a very bad jam.. So heng we both gt stuck on the same road somemore.. We took taxi wif our family.. Accidents happened on Adams Road tat morning, 2 lanes kena blocked.. Den Lornie rd jam, leading to thomson rd jam, den go all the way back to amk (jus before Pierce Sec).. We took the taxi @ 8.10am & guess wad, we reached @ 9.40am.. Very bad jam rite?? Taxi fare $28+ i tink.. Well, my advice for my juniors would be to take bus or mrt during peak hours.. Well, you jing wu xian.. We arrived & gt into the convention hall after the speech.. My frenz called it a blessing in disguise cos no needa listen to Principal 7 Guest-of-Honour's speech.. Haha.. I would say SP's graduation gown quite beautiful.. In terms of colour combi & design.. Well, for the benefit of ppl who haven attend a graduation like this b4, we were given seat number according to our course and name in alphabetical order, meaning we wouldn't be seated beside our frenz.. The cert presentation very fast.. When it's almost our turn the marshal got us to line up to gt onto the stage.. When it's our turn next to gt the scroll, the SP ambassador ppl collect & scan the barcode on our admission ticket and the computerised pronounciation of our names were made as we walked forward to collect our scroll (scroll is empty anyway).. Den we walked out & collect the actual academic transcript and cert.. I've made orders for the photos taken when i was collecting the scroll.. After tat jus go back into the hall, watched the others collect their scroll, listen to graduation speech by a fellow graduand, sang SP song (which I've nv heard b4) and finally refreshment.. During the refreshment period, I haven been eating bt was walking around to take photos wif frenz & teachers.. Oh.. N i forgot to mention I nv eat breakfast tat morning.. Well, photos have been uploaded onto my Friendster blog.. After tat, my family & I went Serangoon Broadway to take a family photo.. haha.. So fake sia.. Haha..
GRADUATION - NIGHT OUTWe (Ham, Zhenghong & i) went hm for a nap den met up wif Andrew for dinner @ citylink Sakae Sushi cos Ham wanna eat.. haha.. Clever me told them actually alacarte more worth cos we can't possibly finish 30+ non-coloured plates of sushi.. Haha.. Den Desmond late to meet us.. This guy pro sia.. He went NAFA test in the morning til missed the ceremony den go make-up ceremony @ 2pm wif the chemical engineering ppl.. Sianz.. So, he was forgiven la.. We paid using Ham UOB debit card & gt a 10% off.. Overall we paid the buffet amt after discount.. Haha.. Den we go to Clarke Quay meet Bernard, Ben & Mr Ho.. Went to Forbidden for a drink.. The drink really not up to our expectations.. Some photos already posted on Friendster.. Den we head hm @ ard 11pm cos next day still have to wk..
DREAMS 5 - PARENTS' DIALOGUE SESSIONThe leaders of the expedition (including myself) had a dialogue session wif the participants' parents.. I was the overall in charge for this session.. It started wif Lester giving a presentation of the project to the parents, stressing on the safety precautions tat we've done & tat the support from the parents was very important.. It lasted for a ard 45 minutes.. Den came the Q & A session, where the leaders answered without a sweat.. Tat's the result of well-preparedness.. Haha.. Luckily nv splunge on the refreshment.. Cos most of the refreshment being kapok by the participants.. haha.. Turned out nv meet Ham cos we busy packing the PCs for shipment over to PBP..
DREAMS 5 - PREPARATION CAMPThe camp was on 2 & 3 June 2007.. I took a cab down to MFSS & reached @ 8.05am.. Slightly late.. The outline for the camp was as follows:-
- cooking
- games (wif value) @ Sentosa (leaders won the power ball game)
- first aid lesson
- performance practice
- PT (played eagle catch little chicks.. Lester so childish..)
- theory on cement mixing
- participants slept @ 1am, leaders 2+am
The camp was taxing as usual (I had been to Venture Training Camp by Shadow Scouts when I was in my sec3 yr, nw this batch of scout leaders/rovers were transfered from Shadow to MF Scout Group) bt very fun.. Project director, Lester, is a very encouraging (strict @ times) & inspirational leader.. Learnt alot from him.. Alan, always pop in to gif us advices in between.. Lionel & Frederick are very capable leaders too.. I almost dropped my spec when Fred was conducting the debrief on Day 1.. Very professional.. Lionel, on the other hand, is a more fierce (no nonsense) leader.. Very gd @ sports.. Can run very fast.. Haha.. I tink I freak Fred out when I was bubbling & laughing non-stop @ 2am in the morning while cutting the ppr wif him.. Too tired, can't be helped.. We agreed that being a camp facilitator is more tiring than being participants.. The participants are quite 'cute' in the sense that sometimes things tat they say/do really made us dunno wanna laugh or wanna cry.. Dovin so 'gu niang'.. Chin How so easily irritated, loud-spoken, presentation skills improved.. Wilfred, I made him picked up the rice grain from the sink when he said he nv do it @ hm.. Lianyi, very familar wif the Home Ed rm.. Putri, always smiling.. Adel, so confident.. Dennis, impressed wif his guitar skills.. YiKai, so lame @ times.. Siong Hui, so quiet.. Ying Jie, sometimes gif weird ideas.. Bryan, the Gatsby boy (irritates us wif tat song).. Ming Xuan, always irritates Chin How..
Above are some of my analysis.. Haha.. Hope you like it..
