My past 3 days was spent mostly @ RP & partly @ S'pore Discovery Centre for UG Youth Leaders Conference 2007.. That conference was the first to be held in S'pore's history & I must said I'm right!! Why so?! Simply cos there wasn't whining adults complaining abt their schedules that clashes with UG activities.. Rather, "old ppl" dere was a rare species.. Even I was being called "da jie" all (except one) of my group members were younger than me.. This conference was, as usual, alot abt NE.. Bt despite all our complaines & distaste, we had all come to agree that NE is a very impt part of education.. Shall only gif very brief summary of wad happened.. Anyone interested to noe more can give me a call..

Some Highlights which've touched my heart..

1. We started, on Fri morning, sitting in distinct UG segments bt ended the conference mixing 9 UGs together.. I, for once, felt very comfortable wif a NCC guy & BB guy @ my sides..

2. My group had members from all 8 UGs except GB.. My previous chance to interact wif other UGs was in year 2001 for National Heritage Trail for only 3 hrs.. This time round, it was 3 days..

3. This conference had made us realised that in order to face challenges to the rising performing arts & sports CCAs, we'll haf to fight the battle hand-in-hand, UNITY IS STRENGTH!!

4. Many a times during the conference, I almost cried cos I tot of hw "not united" our MF UGs are & I was really sad abt it.. It is my wish since Sec4 to see MFGG & Scouts united as a family.. N if possible, instead of fighting each other, all MFUGs shld stand together to fight challenges from other CCA grps..

5. Many a times, I was able to relate my experiences during Dreams 5 wif the conference topic.. I noe I've gained beyond what I've imagined..

6. Lastly, let me announce to all of you that yesterday we've seen the launch of 9 UGs postage stamps.. I'll be getting one of the sets for my fellow Dreamers.. Hehe.. Putri, if you wanna buy extra, please let me noe ASAP cos I can buy @ a cheaper rate.. Sms me.. U can c the designs in SingPost websites..
