Last sat, I went to donate blood after my YAC mtg.. It was my first time visiting the bloodbank cos I used to donate blood @ SP.. Hmm.. 4th time donating blood le.. Btw, I did my first-ever e-booking for that donation appt.. The doctor said my heart rate quite fast den asked whether it's due to me not donating blood since Nov 2005.. My expression, then, was "OMG! I tot I donated at least once last yr? Oh no!!" Anyway, I had that calling to donate blood a few days prior to sat when I was chatting wif Andrew S. Heng online.. He told me tat he would, despite his busy schedule, donate blood at least twice per yr.. Hmm.. I tink I must've felt guilty cos I was determined to donate blood on last sat.. Haha.. Anyway, it might've been due to my long period of nt donating blood tat my blood flowed quite slowly during donation.. Luckily for me, the nurses there were very friendly, some even joked wif me.. Haha.. They gave me quite a few freebies, like notepad, free drink & cake, & even 'super-waterproof' plaster & lotion for bruises (in case my right arm has gt bruise from the donation).. One of them even helped me go find the turquoise bandage when I expressed interest in that colour.. N she also gave me a pamphlet on platelets donation when I asked her abt the donation.. Haha.. I'm glad my blood can help another person..
