Went to watch National Treasure-Book of Secrets with ZL on Wed despite my cough, sore throat, flu, painful eye & sprained ankle.. (dun scold me stupid or silly hor) It's very rare to catch ZL alone & to find someone to watch movie nowadays, with frenz either in uni or ns.. So, must watch la.. Haha.. The movie's very nice, good plot, nice clues, actress pretty, superb acting esp the old couple, awesome technology, breathtaking sceneries, undying love etc.. All in all, it's worth every dollar and cent I spent on this movie.. So much so tat watching it on pirated vcd/dvd would be a giant disfavour done to the movie..

Wad touched me the most in the movie is a phrase said by the old gentleman (Patrick) to his wife (Abigail), "Have it even occured to you that all I've done (treasure hunting) is just to impress you, to make you happy?" (can't rmb the exact phrase) "It (treasure hunting) used to make you happy"

Abigail's reply is very realistic (as in real life), "I used to love it (tresure hunting), but when Benjamin (main lead actor) came along, someone had to look after him and I've to be the one always making the sacrifice. Why is it not you?" (can't rmb the exact phrase but the emotion is dere la.. hehe..)

Of course there're more phrases in the movie that's memorable like, "Just because you assume I know and you happened to be right, doesn't make you right. You're just lucky."

I think other than all the adventure and stuffs, it's the realistic relationship problems that make the movie interesting. Men & women, husband & wife, kept assuming that certain things they've done is for the good of the other person. ASSUME ASSUMING ASSUMED!! How can relationships be based on assumptions? I think all women, more or less, are the same.. When they first started a relationship, they wanted men to guess their thoughts, ASSUME, and work things out.. The more the men's ASSUMPTIONS are right, the happier the women would be.. However, going further into relationship, women no longer want men to ASSUME, they want men to ask before action.. Men, however, got used to ASSUMPTION & continue doing it, thinking that women were happy.. Haha.. Unfortunately, most women are no dumbo bimbo.. THEY LOVE TO THINK TOO!! Haha.. And when they felt that they're not involved in the thinking/deciding process, they felt alone & left out.. Haha.. It's ironic, I know.. I'm ironic too.. Haha.. I guess that's wad makes human.. (*,*)

Back to topic.. Was surprised ZL gave me a Christmas gift though Christmas was already over.. Haha.. Bought ZL a belt (his waist really super small lor.. the salegirl had to cut the belt twice) and gt him to try out a t-shirt for kor.. Hehe.. Hope kor like it.. ZL kept saying, "有做工真的不一样，花钱不用想太多！" OMG!! It's not that I'm a spendthrift but I'd rather buy my frenz gifts that are useful to them instead of unless/impractical gifts.. At least I took time off to consider the suitability of gifts for them k!! Haha.. Thank God I nv see lotsa frenz on Christmas or I'd haf gone bankrupt!! Haha..


ZL & I were like "lamenting" for our pockets next year, with most of our frenz turning 21 together.. SCARY!! *almost fainted* Plus my sis turning 18 too.. OMG!! *faint somemore* Initially, ZL requested for "no torture on his 21st b'day" in exchange for this yr's Christmas gift, but he didn't haf it his way.. Haha.. Still haven considered how to celebrate my 21st b'day.. Maybe a chalet ba.. Common yet practical.. Adel cfm chalet le.. Hehe.. Looking forward to it (excluding the pocket burn portion.. haha..)
