This is a continuation of ytd's blog, on Ber's b'day.. It goes..... Ber msg-ed me ytd, thanking me for my help (wif deco, arrangements, recep, etc) & the pressie, esp the guestbook.. We gave her 4 pressies in total - a card, a watch, a bag & a guestbook.. I tink the guestbook is the best pressie we could ever gave her cos WY & I chiong to 4 diff book stalls just to get the materials for the book on the nite before her party.. N we stayed up til 130am (sat) to finish up designing the guestbook.. WY in-charge of the drawings & me in-charge of the wordings & ideas.. Well, that was on top of looking for the watch as a b'day gift for her..

I assure u I certainly wasn't in the best of moods when I was looking for the watch.. The guestbook-wise, I deemed it as an honour to be able to prepare sth so memorable for a close fren, thus, no regrets..

I was busy the whole wk, rushing to gt the campfire stuffs back on track, and yet, some ppl jus "assumed" that they could push the responsibility of getting the presents to me.. Some gave me ambiguous replies, no budget, no ideas.. Some were jus plainly busy wif NS - the only reason i approved, simply cos I dun tink I'm anymore free than them, jus cos I dun haf NS committments.. N they should haf done sth when they're nt busy wif NS, meaning during their free time..

And yet, these idiots (whom I shall not name) claimed that $30+ on Ber's presents is too much.. Some even "assumed" that I'll be in-charge of the present-buying.. WTF!! (I sent out a sms asking the whole grp whether they wanna share in the present 3 wks prior to the party & they chose not to reply.. N yet haf the decency to request to share in the present, hrs b4 the party starts!!) WTF again!! 1 of them even needed our help to smoke him thru, cos he didn't prepare a gift.. N haf the guts to ask for discounts.. WTF!!!

FINE!! I included them in the present & that was jus the start of the endless trouble.. Thinking back, I could've really enjoyed myself that nite, if not for the idiots who screwed up my nite!! Thank God again, I've the support of WY & Ham, & the understanding of JW to support me thru the nite..

Possible scenarios that could've happened includes - I could've cool-ly asked them not to pay me for the pressies & informed the b'day gal to cancel off their names from the pressies.. This would've disgraced them, esp the MCP amongst them.. Easy as tat.. I see no wrong in it.. Only more pissed off faces, which wouldn't gratify me, but that would've served them right.. Of course, b'day gal would've be happy too.. N that's the last thing I want it to happen..

In the end, Ham said to the guys that they could pay whatever sum they want, & he'll top up the rest, for them.. This shut them off finally.. Well, if you were my close fren, or u were present there, you'd haf felt my omniously dangerous silence & seen my expressionless face.. (at that time, I was weighing the pros & cons of how I should respond to the idiotic remarks..) If Ham hadn't done what he'd done, I tink I'd turned into a BLACK PHEONIX.. The outcome would've been disastrous..

Thinking back to the sms from Ber, I certainly tink it's ironic.. That she's totally unaware of the unhappy happenings that nite.. However, Her sms made me feel that all that I've tolerated for that nite was worthwhile.. Afterall, what could be more important & precious than making the b'day gal happy?
